The Latest Updates on the 4th Cohort of Orange Corners Baghdad Program

Our 20 startups have been receiving training sessions since the beginning of September as part of Orange Corners Baghdad 4th cohort.

The goal of Orange Corners incubation sessions is to support Iraqi youth in bringing their entrepreneurial ideas to life by providing intensive training sessions especially picked to answer the current Iraqi startups needs.

The sessions cover important topics like:

After the completion of the sessions, each startup then takes mentoring sessions with specialized mentors. The mentoring sessions are 1 on 1 training sessions with each startup as they receive training by the mentor that would serve them in the area of most difficulty they’re facing in their business plan.

Another essential part of our programs at Orange Corners is The Masterclasses. A space where startups can speak freely and have open discussions with Masterclass professionals. It's an opportunity to widen the scope of vision for the incubatees by providing masterclasses that handle important topics the startups will most likely face in their journey. An example of this are session themed “How to validate your product/service?”, “Low Capital Startups & How to use your Capital” and “Money Mindset”.

The Student Ambassadors:

This cohort we switched things up with the new addition of the Students Ambassadors which have added a great value to the program.

Out of the many applicants, 6 students were picked from different universities to represent the program in their correspondent university. The ambassadors were given full access to attend all the training sessions and learn from the experiences of the startups in training.

Then the ambassadors were asked to prepare - alongside the team of the Orange Corners Program, an introductory event at their universities to talk about the incubation program and KAPITA’s work in the private sector, as well as showcase the journey of graduate startups from the program.

The six ambassadors are:

  1. Shaymaa Arkan, Business Economics at Al - Nahrain University

  2. Ahmed Sattar,  Chemistry Department at Al -Nahrain University

  3. Haneen Ammar, Computer Science at Al -Nahrain University

  4. Hasan Mustafa, Biomedical Engineering at University of Technology

  5. Duha Abdulameer, Mechanical Engineering at University of Technology

  6. Mohammed Moa’yad, Computer Science at University of Baghdad

Orange Corners Baghdad is able to continue its programs by the support of our partners, The Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy and Asiacell as well as KAPITA.
